This week has been busy waiting for something to happen. Only kidding, but with the economy being where it is you can get stuck in that place waiting. Boy, what a week this has been. Real estate is starting to pick up "by faith". I have been working on my e-mail campaigns. I am finding out that FireFox is the way to go now. IE just isn't responding to certian web sites like FireFox does. We had our Thursday night free training on Blogging. There is so much to learn, but this is what it is all about. Learn, stretch and grow. Everyday it seems like I am learning more about the internet and how to promote my business's on different platforms. From Facebook, Twitter, Squidoo, Blog, YouTube and still more. Becoming an On Line Marketer really can become a full time job. I find myself spending about 2 hours a day now on my affiliate marketing projects and MLM business. Looking for real estate leads is the challenge. Well, now I have to learn how to navigate FireFox. The answer to idle time, is to press in and focus. The real estate market seems to be picking up some, and I am really looking forward to that. In the mean time I have to put food on my table and pay the bills. That is why I am on this Journey into the world of on-line marketing. Learning how and where to post your lead capture page so you can get leads is really a challenge. You can get discouraged real easy, and you just have to keep on going. You have to get out of your chair and do something. It is OK to be real about the fact that you have no money, but what are you going to do about it. Thinking about the problem doesn't do anything but encourage the fear and anxiety. Not only am I learning how to do on-line marketing, but also joined a small company that does Internet advertising. Between the training, conf. calls and webinars you can become a professional student and get nothing done. Looking for work is work. I just got done putting into pratice what I learned on Sat. training. I think it is so important for me to learn the value of WEB2.0 (giving away information). This is how you establish relationships with people and they begin to trust you. I had to first set up a custom lead capture page for people to opt in to be able to get the link for the FREE training Thursday night. Then I had to set-up my Aweber account with a new form. Next I now have to shoot a video to promote the Thursday night training. I am getting so much out of this education and hands on training. I really feel like I am learning more and more each day. I know this is a investment in my time, but being a realtor and the market being slow, what better use of my time then to learn how to grow my business. Today has just been a great day. Went out for a walk this morning and then mowed the lawn. Got ready for my training on MyBrandBuilderPro system http://helpinmarketing.com/. The training was just what I needed to stretch me some more. I began right after the training to work on my "List". I am learning so many new names for things I never knew about. Thinking about the importance of a "List" I thought of like one of the main assets to my business. The "List" is the names you get working on your "Funnel". Leads become a part of your "List" and it is very important to take care of them. What I mean you want to really practice Web2.0, which is giving valueuable content away. I always believed what you sow you will reap. What you get back from your "List" is people begin to trust you and when you recommend a product they just might buy it from you. So what I am learning is you have to have a relationship with your "List" and the training in MyBrandbuilderPro teaches you how.

What an two days this has been. I have been for almost 15 years advertising on the Internet. First using other peoples systems to promote my real estate business. Then after a few years I wanted to be able to promote my own web site and learned how to do a web site using Microsoft Front Page. Still I needed to find out a way to get noticed. Google was offer what they called PPC (Pay Per Click). I was paying $350 per month for just one search term. The most popular one I couldn't even think of affording. After a couple of years I stopped PPC because it was just getting to expensive. Last Jan. I came in contact with LocalAdlink and started advertising my site. Well as of today my web site is now coming up organically in the most popular search term where I live plus two other ones that I never could get good ranking. If I was paying for SEO this would cost "thousands of dollars", but with LocalAdlink it is only costing me $200 per month.

Thought today we were going to sell a waterfront lot!! Oh well, he didn't like it. You have to stay postive and believe or you will go down fast. I know there is a property out there for everyone that is looking for one. I got this client from the internet where just about all my clients come from Learning to be a On-Line Marketer so I can get more leads. Got to keep the basket full.

I have always been interested in the Internet. I still remember my first computer in 1985. I was a radioman in the Navy, so electronics has always intrigued me. Being at a desk was normal to me, and I never was mechanically inclined. So over the years I have grown using different programs with the business I owned in NY for 22 years. At 50 it was time to leave NY and change careers. I was able through a friend to find out that I could run my business in NC through the Internet. I began my real estate career in 1995, and have done very well with it, but with real estate there was no retirement, so I began looking. As the economy began to slide I joined a MLM travel company, because we love to travel and also it was a way to make some extra income. This started me on my quest to learn more about Internet marketing. I was tired of paying someone else who knew how to set up things on the Internet. I wanted to learn. I bought Microsoft Front Page and taught myself how to become my own webmaster.
I became very successful as a Buyer's Agent helping people relocate to our area. In fact over the years about 95% of our real estate business has come through the Internet.

Getting involved in my first MLM I began to here things like "auto responders" "landing pages", and of course there were companies out there that could do that for you also. Well, by now you know me. I wanted to do it for myself.

That brings me to now. I have joined up with a group called Empowered Brand Builders that have developed a great platform and training to teach you how to do it all yourself.
